Valentine's Design #1

It's been quite a while, over a year since I last posted.
Here's a Valentine's themed design for you guys, it's fairly simple.

I apologize for my absense, I was going through a lot of stuff after I lost my job back in 2013, and I hadn't even been painting my nails, until just recently, but now I'm trying to get back into updating this blog at least once a week.

So for this design I used needle-dragging for the mostly pink nails, only one of which turned out to look like hearts (apparently I'm very rusty), and a simple pink watermarble for my ring and thumb nails as an accent.

Colours used:

"Punk Pink 165" by Sally Hansen
"Cotton Candy" by Julie G.
"Blanc" by Essie (the first and only Essie polish I own)

Soft Water-less Marble

I find it so weird trying to type on my laptop since my work computer is completely different.

Also, it sucks that I missed last week, both LGBTQ pride AND Canada Day. I didn't get a chance to since my new furbaby wanted to play with my brushes.

Here's a simple and easy one:

July/07/2013
A super easy water-less marble, better known as "needle-dragging" except I used a brush in place of a needle.

I used "You Callin' Me a Lyre" by OPI as a base, with "Fairy Dust" (China Glaze), "Disco Ball" (Sally Hansen) and "French White Creme" (Wet n' Wild) for this.

Flashback Friday: Christmas Marble

These colours together make me feel very festive. Even though this was done in September I think it goes well with the holidays.

Sept/20/2012
The colours I used were my own made frankenpolish: White Gold, and the red is "Hey Sailor!" by China Glaze. It turned out beautifully, despite how horrible some of my water marbles turn out, I especially love the middle and index fingers.

Flashback Friday: Marbled French

Oct/10/2010
A marbled french mani. Used "Sonic Bloom" by Sally Hansen, and "French White Creme" by Wet n' Wild. I just taped off the areas I didn't want marbled.

Miss Emo Shun All

I liked the colour combination I did for Sam a few weeks back, and wanted to test it out again with a slightly different spin.

August/19/2012
Here's a photo before my niece MZM decided she was going to use her little bebe nails to dent them. So I'm still obviously into this whole "accent nail" business at the moment. On the ring finger we have Sation's "Loudest Colour" a blinding highlight fluorescent green/yellow. It's much greener in person. On the rest of my fingers is "Miss Emo Shun All" a beautiful deep violet also by Sation. I originally attempted water-marbling with these colours for the accent nail but it didn't work out. So I opted for some needle-dragging instead. I topped it off with some large bronze studs and called it a day.

Also on a totally off-topic note, I aced my final exams for Nail Technology. :)

Dry Marble

Simple dry marbling today, its technically just needle dragging, because I wanted to water marble but it wasn't working, so this was better. Colours used are "Fast Track" and "Smoke and Ashes" by China Glaze from the Capitol Collection.
