China Glaze "Solar Power"
Orly "Va Va Voom"
Sation "Miss Emo Shun All"

As the title states, this is the second design I have for Valentine's Day 2015. More of a mix n' match this time around.

Cotton Candy

This manicure reminds me a lot of the cotton candy clouds you get at fairs and such.

May/26/2013 to May/31/2013
So a did a simple ombre using "Tickled Pink" by Wet n' Wild and "Pastel Blue" from Kleancolor. I topped it off with Kleancolor's Aurora because it's just too pretty not to use on these pastel manicures.

Bridal Nails (Warning Feet Photos)

I was recently commissioned to do a mani/pedi for a Desi bride. Here are her nails.

Pedicure
The lengha she was wearing was a beautiful ivory with gold, and maroon gems/embroidery, so we matched the colours in her nails to it. On the toes you see "Smolder" by Orly and a holographic loose gold glitter on top.

Happy Jack-o-lanterns

My first idea failed, so here are some simple Jack-o-lanterns instead!

Just something really simple. The base colour is "Hi Pumpkin" by OPI. The black sheer glitter you see ombred on the other nails is a glitter polish I made. I'm calling it "Juvenile Batfish" after the glitter mixture I purchased from an eBay seller.

Flashback Friday: Silver Flowers

July/03/2012
Just a simple design for this past summer. Did an ombre using a sponging technique with "Nectar" and "Posh Plum" both by Sally Hansen. Stamped with an image on Bundle Monster plate BM16 using ``Silver Sweep`` by Sally Hansen. Ignore the chip in my Pinky nail, I took these after I finished work.

The reddish-coral is a bit of a Frankenpolish; I added some Wet n`Wild French White Creme to it to make it lighter.

Saturday Night Fever

Happy Monday!

September 10th 2012
A simple ombre with two metallics. Towards the cuticle we have Sally Hansen's "Saturday Night Fever" my favourite yellow-gold. And on the tips is "Ingenue" by Orly.

Bonus! A photo of Pickle with pink on his nose:

Simple Abstract Nails

I needed a breather from the heavy duty art nails I've been doing, so here's something simple.

July/29/2012
I started with a set of false tips and a clear UV gel overlay, just to protect them from the damage in class. On top of that the base colour used is "Sparkle Top Coat" by Finger Paints. I created a simple gradient using "Ahoy!" by China Glaze and "Butterscotch" from Sation. On top of that I used some acrylic paint to make some abstract swirls.

Gay Pride Toronto 2012 and Canada Day

Fairly unusual of me to post a new mani on Friday, but this one is fairly important to me; since seeing that July 1st is Canada Day and this week is Pride Week in Toronto. As a full-blooded Canadian born and bred girl and being damn proud of my country, I naturally had to show my support.
Enjoy!

I'm a complete supporter of Gay and LGBTQ rights movement. I think it's only fair to allow people to love who they love freely and openly, no matter what. So I rainbowed up my nails accordingly to the LGBTQ flag. I had to add in the little Canada Flag since Canada Day is also super important.

Colours Used:
"Hey Sailor" by China Glaze
"Frostbite" China Glaze
"Flying Dragon" China Glaze
"Lickety-Split Lime" Sally Hansen
"Lightning" Sally Hansen
"French White Creme" Wet n' Wild

Susan's Pedicure (Warning: Feet photos)

I apologize in advance for those of you who hate feet.
But, I had another client today; this time is was my friend Sam's darling Mom; Susan!
She was so excited about the end result of her toes, it just made me smile :)

Both feet.

Close up on the big toes.
The base colour is "Flying Dragon(Neon)" by China Glaze, with a lovely glitter fade done using Essie's "A Cut Above". Susan loved that glitter, and like myself is a fan of bold, blindingly bright colours. Needless to say she couldn't stop staring at her toes after they were done. Enjoy!

Glittery Hearts

I love this ombre design. The reason is probably not why you think. I'll fill you in on how I did it down below :)

Close up of the thumb nail.
So, I know that last mani was also an ombre, but the technique I used this time was a tad different. I didn't try sponging it on, no no, I used acrylic paint on these paws. Yes, that's right, there is no actual nail polish here except for the Base Coat, and the Top Coat. All the rest is regular craft store acrylic paint, blended to create a beautiful gradient effect. So the paints I used were a basic green mixed with white to get the mint, and red, yellow and white for the pastel orange. The little glitter paillets came out of my bottle of "Synergy" from L.A. Girl.
I hope you enjoy this different take on an ombre mani!

Birthday Paws

This past April 7th was my birthday. As of now I'm 22 -_-'
Obviously, birthday nails were a must:

Instead of doing something fancy, I broke out the brilliant, blinding colours of "Sun Worshipper"(orange) and "Purple Panic(Neon)" by China Glaze and just did a simple ombre using a make up sponge. Enjoy!
